There's something so special about a beach maternity session, especially at Honeymoon Island in Dunedin, FL, just north of Clearwater. The golden hour light at 6:30pm is my absolute favorite, it bathes everything in this incredible bright glow.
This family was an absolute joy to work with. The connection between them was immediately apparent. Mom and Dad brought so much laughter and joy to the session. Their little one, brimming with boundless energy, kept us all smiling and engaged throughout the shoot. We found that throwing him in the air and tickle time were the perfect ingredients to capture those truly precious, candid moments.
As the session wrapped up, Mom, wanting to embrace the beauty of the moment, waded into the ocean, letting the gentle waves surround her. I just loved how down for anything she was for this session. A good tip if you’re interested in those “in the ocean” photos, bring a change of clothes for after!! She was prepared and brought an extra fit for the whole fam. And to end the session perfectly, their sweet son snuggled into Mom's lap, capturing the most tender of moments in the water.
